Here is a sampling of the services we offer at our 994 Kempton Street facility.
Both Dr. Horowitz and Dr. Knowles utilize this “hands on” technique. Diversified manipulation typically involves a quick thrust to restore normal motion to a “locked” or misaligned joint.
Whether the misalignment is caused from an injury sustained in an accident, or from everyday wear and tear, diversified manipulation is a proven, safe and effective chiropractic technique to manage pain.
The activator method is a low-force chiropractic technique in which a hand-held instrument delivers a precise adjustment to the misaligned joint. This is a proven chiropractic technique for the treatment of various conditions, while maintaining a high level of patient comfort.
Dr. Horowitz and Dr. Knowles are both skilled activator practitioners.
Cox Flexion Distraction Technique
Cox flexion distraction is a specialized technique in which a gentle stretch or traction is applied to the lower back, with a series of repetitive movements. Cox flexion distraction is useful for treating patients with low back pain, as well as leg pain and sciatica.
Supportive therapies may be utilized based on your individual needs. These therapies include electric muscle stimulation, ultra sound, massage therapy, heat or ice.
Dr. Horowitz or Dr. Knowles may also provide you with a home care plan, in addition to your office-based treatment. With a home care plan, you can maintain a level of healing throughout the day, even on the days you are not scheduled for an appointment.
Your home care plan may include a home exercise program, modifications of daily living activities, changes in your work ergonomics, as well as orthopedic supports for the neck and low back.
Reinforcing our motto “We care about your health”, we communicate closely with your referring physician. We also offer physical therapy and medical services as well.
